Gisele Raulik. Brazil

PhD in public policies for design and innovation and a Master in Strategies for Design and Innovation. Co-founder and partner of DUCO Design Intelligence based in Brazil. Founder and Coordinator of the Chevening Innovators in Government network. Aside from her design experience, she worked at Design Centre Paraná, Design Council in London and Design Wales in Wales. She is the coordinator of the SEE project, a European network for the development of design and innovation policies.

Francisco Providência. Portugal

Associate Professor at the University of Aveiro, PhD in design. His work and study has been awarded on numerous occasions at national and international level. He is co-founder of the “Instituto de Investigação em Design, Media e Cultura”, where he coordinates the MADE.PT group. He designed the visual identity of Portugal for the Presidency of the European Council and the museography of the Museu Tesouro Real, Lisbon (2022).

Carmelo di Bartolo. Italy

Industrial designer. He has conducted research and projects for Piaggio, Samsung, Motorola, Pirelli, Ferrari and Centro Ricerche Fiat. He founded and directed the Center for Research in Bionics and Design, CRIED. Chairman of Design Innovation, Milan and Gran Canaria; co-founder of Design-Research in Milan and Austin, USA. Professor and coordinator of the Chair at IED. Former Associate Professor of Bionics and Design at the University of Montreal, Academic Leader and Visiting Professor at TEC de Monterrey, he also teaches at IULM University and UNISOB University.

Jimena Alarcón. Chile

Professor at the Universidad del Bío-Bío, Chile. PhD in Design Management, Universidad Politécnica de Valencia; Spain; Master in Wood Construction, Universidad del Bío-Bío, Chile, in collaboration with Design Innovation, Italy; Industrial Designer, Universidad de Valparaíso, Chile. Recipient of the Municipal Award for Applied Research 2022, Chile. Founder and Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Design. Manager of the Integrated Territorial Program Biobío Creativo of CORFO and Productive Promotion Committee of the Bio-Bío Region. Scientific area professional. Designer for the National Agency for Research and Development, Chile. She led the ALFA, ERANet-LAC international projects and also national projects of the main scientific and innovation promotion organisms in Chile.

Tomás Dorta. Venezuela

Alex Lobos. Guatemala

Alex Lobos focuses on sustainability, emotional design and user-centered design. Graduate Director and Associate Professor of Industrial Design at Rochester Institute of Technology, NY, he frequently leads conferences, workshops and research projects in Europe, Asia, North America and Latin America. He is a member of the advisory board of Autodesk University (San Francisco, CA), the editorial board of Material Design (Ferrara, Italy) and the Jury of the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA). His projects have been sponsored by Autodesk, AT&T, Colgate-Palmolive, General Electric, Kraft, Makerbot, Staples and Unilever. He is a former Fulbright Scholar, received a Masters in Fine Arts from the University of Notre Dame and a BID from Universidad Rafael Landivar. Prior to RIT, he served as a professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and at the University Rafael Landivar, as well as an industrial designer for General Electric.

Anita Cooney. United States

Architect by training and Pratt Institute Alumni, she directed the School of Interior Design for 9 years and transformed that department into one of the most robust in the country. She was the first Dean of the School of Design, entrusted with the task of promoting innovation and interdisciplinarity in a 19th century Institute. Currently she is in charge of developing the Research Centers and Laboratories within Pratt Institute, challenged with the specific goal of: transforming the Institute from a professional institution into a Research Institute.
